Home, more than anything, means warmth and bed.- Vivienne Westwood

Nothing says home to me more than a cozy house and a burning candle, sweet and subtle filling the room with their soft glow. I go through candles like it’s my job and I also love always changing what scents I use. I love a sweet and subtle candle while my husbands favorite is a robust spruce candle, making the house smell like Christmas.

Recently  I was online and though I’ve heard and seen Prize candles or other brand of candles with a little surprise hidden inside I’d never really bought into the notion. I bought candles for the smell, not for a piece of jewelry inside but I decided to go for it. I could not have been more impressed, and I haven’t even gotten my prize yet.

I went with Prize candle which is a website that sells an all natural soy-wax candle in literally too many delicious scents to handle (maybe not Yankee Candle status but honesty I think they’re a little over the top). Another great aspect is, direct from the source, these candles are super clean burning and. “do NOT contain any parabens, ammonia, chlorine or lauramide DEA & are pesticide-free.” (Prizecandle.com about us page) which is great for eco-conscience people.

candle 1I went with one called London from (I think) their party collection. I loved the look of the jar it comes in with the gold spots and the smell of it sounded right up my ally. With a soft soothing ylang-ylang top notes, leather and sandalwood I could not wait.

The delivery was super quick and packaging was adorable and I couldn’t be happier. I immediately ripped the packaging open and lit it and was so happy with it I almost completely forgot it came with a prize! I’ve heard it can take a while to burn down to where it’s hidden and I’m not even worried because it smells so beautiful I don’t want to burn it down.

I would love to know what other people’s favorite candle scents are. Let me know! This one is quickly becoming my all-time favorite.

(I am not being paid for this post, I just wanted to share a little experience with everyone)
