“Books are the windows through which the soul looks out” – Henry Ward Beecher

One of my favorite things as a child was reading. I would spend endless hours curled up on a couch reading a really good book. It was hard for my mom to keep up with my demand and our local library knew us personally… the librarians even knew my library card number.

The love affair I have with books has not ended.

Little in this world is better than falling head over heels for a lead character or escaping into a whole new world you couldn’t have imagined. Unfortunately as we grow older things get in the way of things we used to love doing; school, work, family all seem to get in the way of sitting down with a cup of tea and a book.

This year my goal has been to read more, to get back into one of my longest and greatest passions. At the beginning of this year I found a little 2015 check list of books to read for this year; it’s not a list of specifics but more a scavenger hunt of genres or challenges to try:

I found mine off of Pinterest. This one has a lot of things to check off… a pretty big challenge.

Sorry it’s a little blurry. If you want to see it better google 2015 reading guide and you might find a better one.

It was mid January when I started chipping away at it. I’ll keep a running list and slowing cross off the ones I’ve done!

Wish me luck!

xoxo
